How to Protect Your Personal and Business Brand Online with Akilah Phillip
Some of you may know but most of you might not know, Akilah and I go way back. When she held a one day workshop “Building & Protecting a Business Brand” back in June 2017, I was responsible for design of the promo flyer and was the guest speaker that day to talk about all things branding and brand identity. So of course I just had to invite her to the show to get her take on my intellectual property situation and pass on the gems to you my listeners of the Tea Time with Cassia Marina Podcast.
In this episode I sit down with Akilah Phillip of Let's Talk Intellectual Property to discuss a few things in relation to the importance of trademarking especially in the online space where digital assets seem somewhat intangible. With intangible items the lines seem so blurred with regards to ownership.
We see it everyday in copycats in so many spaces and areas especially online, especially digital products, ideas, creations, inventions, etc. It's why we have intellectual property law and for good reason.
